Open Book

Another New year in my life is around the corner. Hotels ready to cash in on the hoiday seasons spending spree. I can see men (husbands) standing in front of jewellery stores, malls while their wifes make merry while the sun is shining. I looked at their pathetic faces looking exhausted,bewildered and terribly bankrupt. I went inside the mall , it was filled to the brink with women. They had the true spirit of the festive season, their faces glowed with a makeover cost just under Rs4000, they seem to be more healtier than their husbands, able carry three to four bags on each hands. They bought and bought hard, till they no longer had the strength to carry them safe. Undeterred and with determination they collected every ounce of their energy to carry them to their husbands( whom I must add "had a face of astonishment"). They couldn't believe their eyes, they wondered how on earth they ever gonna recover? .All that I can say to those blessed souls (husbands) is "have a great new year".

hahaha ---I am Single.

Being in India and not to have a cell phone chronicle is really hard.This is my Cell phone Chronicle that started back in 2002.My first cell phone was an Nokia 1100,It was the buzz of the town and kind of hip to own that cellphone which is kind of cute, with sleek design and queued kind of handling. Nokia made huge inroads with that mobile and everyone seemed to have one.Boasting of a cellphone is not my kind of thing but naturally come on,you have one and everyone had a better one than you, Something gotta give and that sure did!!!. Nokia started to introduce colour mobile in the mid segment to target youngters in their teens and they weren't wrong.They found one such youngster in me.I both Nokia 6610i, my second mobile in 2003. it was okay to have a black & white cellphone, but it wasn't cool baby!!.

Until the begining of 2004, I was as loyal to Nokia as the dog in the Hutch ads to that boy . Suddenly out of bloom came a whole army of cellphone companies with cellphones packed with features and value for your fathers hard earned money. My loyalty Nokia was lost when I both my first Samsung Phone x100 in 2005 febuary and I never really had a good feel of that phone as I donated that phone to "Phones for free" thiefs club. Then reluctantly I was manhandled to use my Old ,very very boring ,not so hip Nokia again.


This was the darkest period of my cellphone chronicles,as I searched through endless pages of gadget review magazines and internet sites,it seemed bleak.It was dark at the other side of the tunnel.No way out of this mess for a year.

It was april 2006 and it was a birhtday bash for one of my friends. My college days were running out and it was our last excuse to party before our final semester in what I would say was a wicked time. It was in that party that I layed my eyes on sony ericcson K750i, I didnt have a clue how in the hell sony came out with such a gadget that packed all the features and was style personified to the core. It was july 2006 and it was different this time around because I got my first cellphone from my first month salary. You guessed it right ,it was sony ericcson K750i, I was satisfied,excited and joyful not just because I owned my first mobile but also because it was the first real thing that I really earned.
